The United States of America
Chapter
6
The great Apostle Paul said in Eph. 6:12,
"For we wrestle not against
flesh and blood , but against principalities, against powers, against the
rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in
high places."
There is a tremendous on sought by the rulers of darkness
through out the world today. Satan realizes that his time is short and he is
pulling out everything he has in his hatred toward those the Lord has
blessed. Jesus defeated him during His time here on earth and led the captives
Therefore, from now on,
we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh we now know Him
thus no longer."(WE KNOW Him in the spirit)
I have shared with you the fact that during a set period of time by the Lord, there are parallels from Biblical times that occur in the present time. We are in a set period of time now as I have shared with you about Lincoln and Kennedy and history repeating itself. I have mention some of our past presidents and the parallels with them and biblical times and I will show you more of these. This week I want to show you the parallel of President Obama in scriptures.
For centuries now, it has been customary for all Jewish synagogues throughout the world to read the preselected passages of scripture every week. The preselected passages, taken from the Torah and the Prophets, are called parasha and haftarah respectively. Amazingly, there are times when the weekly Torah reading will correspond in a prophetic way with current events that unfold in Israel and throughout the world. When this occurs, it is often viewed as a word from God. He is speaking to the world through His Word to offer edification, comfort, and warning.
Just days before Barack Obama was sworn in as President of the United States, around the world in Jewish synogues Exodus 1:1-8 was read,
"Now there arose a new king
over Egypt, who did not know Joseph."
This was an indication that the Obama administration would not be favorable to the nation of Israel. Did this prove to be the case?
This passage describes a crafty, hostile pharaoh whose disdain for the Hebrews led to the implementation of policies designed to enslave them. It is amazing and alarming to see how these different policies parallel those initiated by the Obama administration. It became oblivious very early on that the president's opinion and attitude toward Israel, and for that matter, God's people at large, was not a favorable one.
On more than one occasion Obama refused to meet with Israel's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu and according to several news sources, showed contempt for Benjamin Netanyahu in conversations with other world leaders. The brutal fact is that, Obama has proven to be the least friendly of any U.S. president to Israel since it became a nation in 1948. This is in spite of the fact that he boast to be the friendliest. Furthermore, there have been times when he and his administration supported Israels enemies such as Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran.
It is important to note that this same ill feeling toward Israel goes beyond the tiny Middle Eastern nation. In other words, this contempt has been directed to those in this country who stand with Israel, and more importantly, call upon the God of Israel. It is possible that the Torah portion being read in the days leading up to Obama's inauguration was God's subtle way of alerting us to what is going on. Upon Obama's trip to Cairo in June 2009, he was greeted by Egyptians as the "new Tutankhamen (ancient Egyptian pharaoh) of the world"."
Not only did Obama support Israel's enemies, but he also released hundreds of millions of dollars to Iran, opening the door to the development of nuclear arms by a rogue and radical Islamic government. Instead of combating Islamic extremism and promoting liberty, he placated the Islamic world, encouraging the likes of ISIS to rise and spread terror. At the same time, he was passively aggressive toward Israel, at least until the end of his presidency. In the last week of his presidency, his true feelings toward the Jewish state were laid bare.
Not only that, but Obama's domestic agenda speaks for itself as well. By his own words and actions it is obvious that he harbored contempt for traditional, even, biblical values, indifference to a progressive, liberal anti-biblical agenda. The White House was illuminated in celebration of same-sex marriage, but not so in support of fallen law enforcement officers.
While visiting Turkey, Obama told
a Muslim audience, "America is not a Christian nation" For the first three out
of five years, he did not recognize the Christian-sponsored National Day of
Prayer but willingly celebrated the yearly Islamic Ramadan White House dinner
instead, honoring the Islamic tradition that Gabriel gave Mohammad in the
Quran. The most negative mark against Obama from a purely biblical perspective
was his promotion of the legalizing of same-sex marriage. He thus legalized a
biblical abomination.
I want to pray for President
Obama and his family and this I say to them, (Eph. 5:14) "Awake thou that sleepest, and arise
from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light."
Again, I want to say to you that in set times of
The thing that has been,
it is that which
shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under
the sun."
We are living in a set time of the Lord as witnessed by the repeating history between Lincoln and Kennedy. It is during these set times that there are parallel accounts in biblical times of individual events that repeat themselves in the days we live in. Our interest at this time is what has been going on with our present president. Never before has any president of the United States been harassed like Donald Trump, even before his inauguration as president. The Democratic Party has, and is, trying everything they can think of to discredit this president and put him permanently out of office.
The Torah reading the day of Trumps inauguration was Exodus 1:1-6:1. There is much in this passage, but the central theme focuses on a young man (Moses) that God raised up to demand that the Egyptian leaders "let my people go!" Even as this young man was being raised up in the house of Egypt's supreme leader, their government was busily placing heavy loads upon the Hebrews without any benefit to them. When the people finally cried out to God, He remembered his covenant with them and raised up Moses. When Moses stepped into his destiny he confronted an evil system and called out its religion, its politics and its gods.
During the week of Trump's inauguration Jer. 1:10 was read in the Jewish synogues,
"Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant."
Throughout Trump's presidential campaign, He promised to drain the swamp and to root out and pull down the Washington corruption. At the same time, he promised to build up and plant jobs and new companies in the country.
God warned Jeremiah that trouble will come from the north like a pot boiling over. Soon after Trump's inauguration those following the election through the news were shocked at the large numbers of angry people who took to social media, making threats and even calling on someone to assassinate Trump before he could take office. The weeks following showed not a sign of stability as numerous electors received as many as 50,000 emails demanding that they change their vote and replace Trump with a different person. Many of these electors related horror stories of being harassed and threaten with death if they followed through with their legal commitment to cast their votes on behalf of the state they represented. Even the ultra-liberal Michael Moore on a television program stated that "something could happen" implying a death could happen to the elected president Trump.
Anyone with any discernment at all, especially Christians, can discern the evil being manifested in the leaders of the Democratic Party. I have been a democrat all my life but I cannot condone the activities of those presently in positions of power in that party and what they are proposing for the American people. Jesus said in John 8:32,
You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
The English word used here as 'know'
in the Greek means to have an intimate relationship with. It's the same word
used in the Bible to say that a man knew his wife. You shall know the truth is
not an intellectual understanding of truth. All Christians have an intellectual
understanding of the truth but not all have an intimate relation with truth,
which is Jesus. He said in John 14:6-7,
"I am
the way, the truth
and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If you had known me,
you should have known my Father also: and from henceforth you know him, and
have seen him."
I want to ask you a very
important question, Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus? Do you know
that you have such a relationship with Him? Jesus said in Lk 13:27,
"I tell you, I do not know you, where you are from.
Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity." I was in church all my life and
when I was around thirty four years old someone asked me if I had a personal
relation with Jesus. It stunned me because I never knew you could have a
personal relation with the Lord. I was always taught that Jesus was in heaven
sitting at the right hand of God and heaven was somewhere beyond the milky way.
And then I heard a minister teach on Col. 1:26-27, which Paul says,
"The mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to
his saints: To
whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery
among the Gentiles; which
is Christ in you, the hope of glory."' Jesus said in John 7:38-39,
"He that believeth on me, as the scripture has said, out of
his belly shall
flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should
receive!" If you know the truth, which is Jesus,
you will be set free so you can discern the things that are from God and the
things that are not. I am writing this to tell you that the baptism of the Holy
Spirit is a gift from our Father that is available to all believers. If you
don't have this wonderful gift with the evidence of speaking in another
language which allows you to be edified and built up in your spirit, may I
suggest that you get down on your knees and tell the Lord you want to receive
this gift from him. Jesus said in Matt. 7:7,
Ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one
that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be
opened." As I opened this weeks message
with what Paul said about the fact that we are in spiritual warfare we need the
fullness of the Holy Spirit in our lives along with the understanding that as
John said in 1 John 4:3-4,
"And
every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not
of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that
it should come; and even now already is it in the world. You are of God, little children, and have
overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the
world." Paul said in Eph. 1:18-21, (NIV)
"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order
that you may know the hope to which he has
called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his
incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the
mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ
from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far
above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is
invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come."
Jesus said in Mark 11:23-24,
"For verily I
say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou
removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those
things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says. Therefore
I say unto you, What things so ever you desire, when you pray, believe that you
receive them, and you shall have them."
I shared these scriptures to show you the awesum power and authority that the Lord has given to us. We need to learn to stop asking the Lord to do things for us that He has given us the authority and power to do ourselves. It's time we stop being children and grow up spiritually and take authority of the world we live in. Rom. 1:7 says,
"For therein is the righteousness
of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith."
Unfortunately, there are many
churches that don't teach their people about this and the result is a lack of
power manifested in their worship services. Paul told the people of his day
in Heb. 6:1,
"Therefore leaving the principles
of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the
foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, hands, and of
resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God
permit."
It is time for mature sons of God to rise and take their God given authority of the forces of evil in this world and put them in their place. Jesus defeated the devil and gave us the authority to do the same.
